Youth & Young Adults

Young Adult Ministry

Young adults, you are welcome here! There is nothing formal to join – if you’re here, you ARE the community. Contact us any time to learn about upcoming events and opportunities or just come up to one of us at Mass! The Young Adult Ministry is one of St. Benedict’s most active parish groups! Led by our youth ministers and guided by our Pastor, our ministry’s mission is to encounter Christ, know his Church and grow as a Catholic community. Our faith journey is not ours alone, we all walk together. All are welcome!

Service

Our young adults regularly gather for service opportunities. In the past, we have helped clean up the shoreline, delivered Thanksgiving meals to the needy with St. Vincent de Paul, gone Christmas carolling at nursing homes, and volunteered at Vive La Casa and soup kitchens. We are always open to suggestions for service projects or places you’d like to volunteer!

Social Events

We like to pray, we like to volunteer, but we also like to have fun! We host social gatherings every month – trivia nights, cookouts, bonfires, dinners & fireside chats. Follow our Facebook page or contact Andrew or Chelsea to learn about the next event!

Music Ministry

Our parish is blessed to have a vibrant music ministry. An exciting new part of the music program is Cantate Omnes, a musical ensemble Maria Chomicka, our parish Music Director. The goal of Cantate Omnes is to bring young adult musicians together, using our talents to dazzle the world with God’s beauty. All young musicians welcome, please contact Maria if you’re interested in joining! You can follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/cantateomnes.
