Confirmation

Confirmation preparation is a two year journey, and a stepping stone to lifelong Discipleship.

Students preparing for a Sacrament (Confirmation) also attend faith formation.
Note: Students who attend a Catholic school receive faith formation daily within the Catholic school setting.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of everything that we do at St. Benedict!
Families are encouraged to attend Mass on a regular basis and holy days of obligation.

Over the next 2 years, candidates will:
– Choose a Confirmation name
– Immerse themselves, and reflect on their service to God and Church
– Choose a Sponsor that reflects and embodies the Catholic Faith
– Write a ‘letter of intent’ asking for Confirmation. (Letters are passed onto the Bishop)
– Have a conversation with a parish staff member
– Attend Yearly retreats in 9th and 10th Grades
