Generations of Faith

We are looking forward to working with our St. Ben’s and St. Leo’s parishioners.

Generations of Faith is a Sunday full-family faith formation program that gathers for Mass, a meal, and a lesson. We meet every month with a few other meetings throughout the year. This is for Parents, Children, Teenagers, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends…

Each session will begin with Mass, followed by a meal (usually Paula’s Donuts), then a large group activity and the age appropriate break-out sessions.

This is not a drop-off program. Parents are intended to stay and participate in the large group and parent sessions. Mass Participation is required! Faith Formation without Participation at Mass is like only wearing one shoe it just doesn’t make sense.

Catholic School students do not have to participate in these general faith formation sessions. However, they will participate in additional sacramental prep if they are receiving First Reconciliation, Eucharist, or Confirmation.

We will have several other opportunities throughout the year to gather, learn, and grow together.

The dates will be announced in the beginning of October. These include: Trunk or Treat, an Our Lady of Victory Pilgrimage, a Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine for the Festival of Lights in December, Living Rosary & Ice Cream Social, and Movie (Pizza with a purpose) night during the dog days of winter and Pot Luck Family Picnic in April or May. We will also have opportunities to serve our community throughout the year: Little Portion Friary (October, January, March, & May), Thanksgiving Dinner Food Drive, Giving Tree (December), Lenten Journey Drive, and Valentine’s Day Cards for Nursing Homes.

Sacramental Preparation

If you have a child preparing for Reconciliation (Grade 2), First Eucharist (Grade 3), or Confirmation (Grades 9 & 10), they will attend both Faith Formation and separate Sacramental Preparation classes. A separate registration form and fee for the sacramental session is needed. Please contact Andrew Pitisi via phone or email for more information. If you are unable to cover the registration fee please let me know. Thank you! – Sacraments are received in church: another reason to attend Mass. – Sacramental information and Registration forms available upon request. – Confirmation Registration Form (2026-27) All students preparing for a Sacrament attend both faith formation and a separate Sacramental preparation process.  A separate registration form is used.
