Pray: Prayer is an essential part of preparation for all sacraments. Parents help their children learn the Sign of the Cross, Act of Contrition, Lord’s Prayer, Glory Be to the Father, Hail Mary, and Bless Me Father For I have Sinned. A great time to pray: first thing in the morning, meals, on vacation, at school, leaving for work, bedtime, etc. These prayers will be used their entire life.

Families are encouraged to attend Mass on a regular basis and holy days of obligation.

It is called the sacrament of forgiveness, since by the priest’s Sacramental absolution, God grants the penitent “pardon and peace.”

The sacrament of Reconciliation imparts to the sinner the life of God who reconciles: “Be reconciled to God.”  He who lives by God’s merciful love is ready to respond to the Lord’s call: “Go; first be reconciled to your brother.”
